THE GOLD MEDAL

  THE GOLD MEDAL    The planet earth turns around on it's axis and spins around the sun in a synchronized orbital path. This movement creates days, weeks, months and years.  The wheels of a bicycle turn and move the rider from the starting point to the finish line in a known and predictable path within a certain time. We can apply this fact of the universe to our day to day order of accomplishing our personal goals. We can get started by freewriting a list of activities we desire to do in our lives.  Then set about three goals that we are very passionate about doing and achieving.  Screen over the list of to-dos written earlier and sift out the ones which coordiante and match with the desired goals.  Every day during of the week consciously assign about an hour and a half to perform the activity for the goal.   SCIENTIFIC OBSERVATION     +Gregor Mendel was an Austrian monk who had a keen interest in observing his garden pea plants in the early nineteenth century.  His relentless work with the garden pea plants revolutionized the world of science in which he accurately predicted a heredity pattern in the next generation of the plant.  The “Father of Genetics” left an everlasting impression.  His achievements continue to be honored today in the studies related to evolution, heredity and genetic engineering. NATIONAL SPELLING BEE CHAMPIONSHIP

       Each one of us has heard of the very tried and true thought –Slow and steady wins the race.  We are all passionately familiar with the story of “The Hare And The Tortoise”.  This is an ideal time during the year to get your Spelling Folder ready.  Every morning after breakfast set aside twenty minutes to review five words from the Spelling Wordlist three times.  The fourth time around cover the words and quiz your self.  Use the remaining time to plan for your study time the next day. Start preparing now to reach your dream goal. GO FOR THE GOLD!

ACE THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR

            This is an awesome strategy to refresh and review for Back-to-School just in time before school starts.  You first start by sorting and stacking papers in the areas of Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies.  Next map out a study plan by assigning one day of the week to each of the courses mentioned above or in the area you really need to work on.  Then you schedule a twenty minute study period to revive and review the skills learned in the previous year.  By the end of summer you are ready to start the new grade level like a star student!       www.pinterest.com/HeritageTutoring
