  SCIENTIFIC OBSERVATION     +Gregor Mendel was an Austrian monk who had a keen interest in observing his garden pea plants in the early nineteenth century.  His relentless work with the garden pea plants revolutionized the world of science in which he accurately predicted a heredity pattern in the next generation of the plant.  The “Father of Genetics” left an everlasting impression.  His achievements continue to be honored today in the studies related to evolution, heredity and genetic engineering.
